Hi. I've been blogging for a while and just got into the whole CPA thing or affiliates so I'm hoping you can answer a few questions. Whats the difference between incentivizable and regular? Does incentivizable mean you can offer an incentive without getting in trouble? Even if you do and you pick regular, how would the affiliate know? I'm on offervault and looking at a few of these deals. Many of them require you to input your address and phone number and to techies like us, this immediately flags spam and fraud. Are they really legit? For example, check out this one: http://minisites.mypengo.com/default.aspx?siteid=33233006&source=cx&cid=4691&pid=2&subid= 2nd step requires you to input your cell. None of us would do it but the people we are offering to might. Will they get scammed and get charged hundreds on their phone bill? I'm not a blackhat person and would like to know. Also I'd appreciate any tips or advice you can give me. Thanks
Hi, I do not know much about incentivized offers or traffic but you can find more information here: Incentivized offer
yeah mate, basically u have the incentivized/non-incentivised thing correct. The advertisers know, based on experience how a sign-up will act. For example.....The affiliate gets paid $26 dollars when someone signs up to a free trial of an offer, say creditreport for example. The affiliate could offer 100 people 10$ each to sign up, and then cancel before the free offer runs out, making them 10$ for nothing, and the affiliate 16$ per time. However, when the company sees that 100% of the 100 people referred by this affiliate have cancelled within a week, whilst their usual cancel rate is something like 26%, they will realise something is amiss, and refuse to pay the commissions without offering a reason. The same principle applies for all of these types of offers. Gambling is an other one due to the obvious way in which a gambler acts And basically yeah those signups are paying you for peoples details so they can spam the hell out of them in future (the cell phones numbers arent scams, otherwise no one could ever give their number to anyone else for fear of being scammed and then no one would have a mobile phone cos no one could call them lol) Hope this answers some of the questions
