Hi Adsense Forum Regulars, This forum has really fascinated me this evening. And I was waiting to start off a thread like this one I just posted. I am sure there may be similar threads here on DP but I would like the latest tips you can share keeping the "panda updates" and "uncertain changes" that Google has been making in 2011 in mind. I will start off by sharing 3 of my favorite tips with you..... 1. Google favors publishers who use only Google Adsense and nothing else. The highest adsense earners use only, and only Google Adsense on their websites. 2. Google tends to pay old publishers a higher CTR than new ones. So, if you just joined Adsense, the best thing to do is grow your traffic and content base. The big money will come but please be patient. 3. Never, never, never try to fool Google by clicking your own Ads or anything like that. It is just not worth it and you will be banned for life. And here's another one...... 4. Focus on just 3 banner ads, preferably 336x280 ones. Place them as high up on your pages as possible and either to the center or the right of your pages. Never the left! Thanks, and I am really hoping you guys can share your tips, as it will help us all!
Here's mine: 1. Make sure the ads are places well. You don't want the Adsense ads to overwhelm your audience, but you want them in places where people will see them. 2. Keep working on ways to bring more traffic to your site: Basic SEO. 3. If your blog/site has a side panel, take advantage of it and place some ads there.
Thank you for the tips, guys! For me, I like to use the largest banner to capture the most number of clicks =)
Hi Dhiman, Visit your private area on Google Adsense and read the guidelines mentioned there. Also, this is a tips thread, if you have any then please share them.
- write for dumb people - get a good ad placement - get other people to write for dumb people for you
Following tips are only for publishers with good traffic and low revenue. For others the first tip is Generate Traffic!! (consider 5th point) 1. Use image and text ads 2. Don't use 160X600 banner (Low CTR) 3. Use 250X250 and 336x280 (Good CTR, CPC and more creative available) 4. Monitor Link units with separate channel and remove or decrease if it doesn’t perform well. (You may get $0.02 per click without your knowledge. An outgoing visitor is defiantly worthier than $0.02) 5. Don’t target high paying keywords, because they have high competition. You can easily get more visitors for low paying, high search volume keywords. (10 Clicks X $1= $10 but 1000 Clicks X $0.1 = $100)
Well, I'm not sure there's stuff, but the advice is to work hard. You can earn money online through writing, research, answering questions, so many things you can do online. But the key is to work hard, try to work a little harder. Writing online, like blogs or web design, etc. .. all good ways to make money ... or you can sell goods on eBay or Amazon, easy to do, but not always easy to make money, but you can make money with hard work.
Hi All, Thank you for the wonderful tips so far. I sure hope more of the forum regulars drop by on this thread and share their favorite tips. Regards, Wonay
