Graduation Stoles I would be very grateful if some of you wouldn't mind taking a couple minutes to give us some constructive criticism on our graduation stoles website design. This site ranks pretty well in the SERPs. We obviously want the layout and design to be conducive to conversions and are concerned with aesthetics only in so far as it may help drive conversions. I know the site is not valid code, I know it is sloppy. I didn't build this site but I have inherited some degree of responsibility for it. I know it needs a complete rebuild with valid code and no frames, and a better ordering system. Major rewrites are out for the time being though due to time constraints (sometime during the summer however we will be doing a complete rebuild). I want to know how I can improve this site in the short term, what kind of minor changes should I make? Any comments and/or suggestions will be very appreciated.
Are you in Asia? I think it only requires a login if you are in Asia. If you are not in Asia, please tell me which country you are in so I can look into the problem. Edit: Oh sorry, it says in your posts header that you are in China. So that is the problem. Yeah, we require registration for people in Asia. Not my idea but I guess it does make sense - as virtually all our converting traffic is from the US and Europe. Traffic from Asia is mostly just other manufacturers and suppliers checking out the competition. Sorry about that ccchong, thanks for trying though.
There is no content on home page . Other pages can be seen only with login so can not give any result in search engines.
I think you must be in Asia or India? There is content on the home page, and google (as well as other search engines) can see it. It only requires login if you are in China, Hong Kong, India, or Pakistan, plus we have code to specifically allow search engine spiders access regardless. The site shows up as number 4 or 5 in google's SERPs for our targeted keywords. If google couldn't see the content then this would certainly not be the case. Personally I am very much against geo-locational filtering in general. This is not up to me though, there is nothing I can do to change it, I only have any control over the layout/design. Also in this particular niche market the only people in those regions who would be trying to access this site are our competitors. Can anyone in the Americas or Europe offer me any feedback please?
