Please give Opinions on an Idea for my site

    Hey all
I have a site and a forum connected to it, but i thought a good way to promote the use of the forums is to disable my comment feature on my articles, and instead, show my readers a link to the forum to discuss the article?

I thought that after I post the article on my site, I could post it again in the forum and allow the readers to comment there?

What are your opinions on this? Would it count as duplicate content since it would be on my site and forum?

Header and stuff looks ok, but the giant red text scares me a little. It makes me think of used cars salesmen.

As for your thought on that, I don't think people will transfer over the forums. It's just easier if they can do it in the comment box below. Just my thoughts on it.

People are less inclined to comment if they have to work at it to post anything. Getting comments is hard enough as it is because people simply don't want to take the time to do it. To add to the fact that they would have to register for your forum is probably just going to eliminate a lot of the comments you get. However, if you are less concerned about comments and more into just getting new users registered on the forums then it could definitely boost the number of registers you get.

Cheers for your opinion, I guess I could have comments section as well as a link to the Forum but then I'll have two seperate discussions on the one article. I'm definately more interested on getting users into the forum as my niche is much better suited to having a community where fellow enthusiasts can just talk about it.

The less someone has to do in order to reply the better. It is hard enough to get action from visitor as it is. Make it as easy as possible

When a person register to your site all they are looking is to get some information that is going to help them. So what I mean by that keep it simple for them because they are lazy ok.
