I'm terrible at designing logos in Photoshop but I gave it a blast for SeanBluestone.com and here's what I came up with: The image is the same except for the lens flare. Which do you think is best? Do you have any suggestions or ideas? Cheers
Not bad, man, especially for someone who's "terrible" The lense flare is lost on the lighter background, so if it's on something darker it may work better. I prefer the first ver in that case. I think your strap-line needs to go up a notch in font-size and be a touch closer to the main body text, or even sit underneath the main text... Personally I'd like to see it in situ on the eventual background so that I could make a judgment on whether or not I could get away with losing the drop-shadow and the outlines... plus, maybe italicizing the main text might give the logo a touch of the dynamic and it would lean with the angle of the stone?
It is good but i hope it fits your color combination of choice for your website. I usually design the website first before doing the logo.
I think that is very simple and it needs a little more decoration, maybe different font that is not default for browsers. The first text is very tight and it is hard to read. These is well-meant critic. Regards
try making the background darker to put emphasis on the flare...now the tagline needs to be at the bottom so that you will not over power the company name... make it white since the background will be darker... last loosen the fonts a bit for the company name, its looks crowded... keep up the good work! you can do it!
Change the white text and it will look way better. Right now it doesn't looks that good because both the font and background is white.
its nice design but try more with colors ..... you have done your work with white color ..... but try other color also .....
tag line is hard to read, put it on bottom big blue stone is pretty amateurish (you wouldn't know that of course) a vector blue gem would look better nice try for someone who is "horrible". also, if u used a vector blue gem, a little sparkle wouldn't look bad at all
