I have a forum at www.moneytalkpro.com and it's a PR3. However, I think it should be much higher. Please check the site out and give me some tips and advice on what I can do to make it even better. Thanks!
MakeThatDollar, I can tell you exactly why...you are not using mod_rewrite. You should be using mod_rewrites on your site, cause crawlers don't like long PHP strings. I suggest that you do some research and set up the re-writes ASAP. http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.0/misc/rewriteguide.html
Woha! Your forums have lot of posts The only thing you need to do is get as many of links. Also what about adding the plugin which allow users to share the posts of forum to Social Bookmarks? Recently V7n Forums has added this feature.
I run a forum myself, and SEO for a forum is not really that hard. You just need to get people interested in it. They will then link to it! Works like grease! Smooth!
Submit your forums in directories, you may get a lot of backlinks if you submit your forums in directories. Then you must know how to organize your keywords in your site.
Allow the forum to grow naturally. Pay attention to the posts and let the moderator work well so the content there is up to standard. More people will be drawn to the site and start linking to it.
