Hello Can you tell me how much time you need to rank 1st page for a keyword with certain competition. Say for a 1,000,000 result keyword. How long to rank 1st page for 'Astrology'. I know SEo but don't have enough experience. Just trying to get an idea how much is realistic in say a month. thanks
getting ranked for a single word is quite tough now a days. there is nothing like time limit in SEO and this is the hard truth of this field. if you want to rank for single word then you will have to carry out the SEO/SEM process exhaustively thats all i can say for it
you need to pay an SEO company, and even then it can take 6 months. and even then... you never know...
I can do that. But yoiu have any idea how long it will take. You seem to be in this buisness. Any personal idea???
@bubaipal : i'd be wary of anyone that gives you a definate time. Your best bet is to target longtail keywords in the short term ('astrology tips', '101 guide to astrology', 'how do i know my star sign?'...etc), while building links into your homepage for your main keyword 'Astrology'. Without any guarantees - my guess is that to get top ten for a keyword like that will take at least 6 months of hard-core link building! And even then it is likely to pop in and out. Then maybe in the top 5 after a year (but you'll have to be dedicated, extremely good & have a little bit of luck... )
Dude, You may never get listed for a term like astrology... That is a hard term to get listed for... Find some alternative keywords based around astrology that have high search volumn but low search competition...
I would like to see some of your previous work for other sites. I don't think you can get him listed for "astrology" in 3 months ... try 1 year or never
