I set my daughter up with a site that she wants to develop - www.runnersglobe.com . It is not 100% populated yet, but most of it is done. The site is already indexed in Google and is starting to get SE traffic. However, I have noticed that even with the little traffic it is receiving, the site is not getting any CTR on the AS ads. When looking at the traffic logs, I see that the majority of visitors are coming in to subpages through specific Google searches for specific race events. So is this the problem? Are people only interested in the specific info they are searching for and then leaving? Or is there something inherently wrong in the ad placement? TIA for your help. Vito
Good point, I never thought of that. Fixed. So what is wrong with the site? Why no clicks? Just a bad niche? Vito
Actually if you answer the visitors needs without their need to look elsewhere then there is no need for them to click ads. So for adsense purposes your site may be too good so to speak Peace
If that's true, it's irony at its finest. Good content is always my primary goal, but it would suck it that would work against me with regards to AS. Vito
Well I did not pull the thought out of thin air ..... Do you have other outbound links people can use?? Ads too well blended?? Ads in proper positions?? Peace
Your site is very slow ... not sure whether you've had a huge increase in traffic because of this post ... its taken too long to load the calendar so I can't comment on inner pages. The first page looks well blended & nicely placed though. Maybe users are finding what they need - i.e. the runners & race directors boxes - before the ads. maybe try moving the first horizontal adsense block above the runners / race directors boxes.
For me,I feel the template a bit outdated, and the content....anyways,if you have huge content, then you site is infomative.so,now i grade your site is below ok.
