My Review of AFV-News.com _ First impressions: The first thing I noticed (probably because I read the previous posts) was the background. As I have mentioned before, gradients need to be used sparingly and subtly for me not to find them offensive. It does look like a video game site, which is a good thing, it makes the somewhat dull scale model scene appear more action packed and exciting to me. Home Page: I already mentioned the background and overall style, the color scheme is nice, and I really like how you posted the images in the news section. Having some on the right side and some on the left made the page more dynamic because it forced my eyes to move across the page in a 'zig zag' pattern. One critique I have is with the site logo, the part where it says AFV Scale Model News is boring and looks amateur. Fonts can say a lot about a site, those look almost like default fonts in Photoshop or something. Here are some much better military fonts you may be able to use: http://www.1001freefonts.com/army-stencil-fonts.php One thing I do find, and this just might be me, is that the site is pretty cluttered looking. I can still find the information I want, but is the Storming Tag and Tag cloud necessary? Does the poll need so many options? What are the 1,2,3,4,5,6 placeholders for? Is there anyway you could move somethings to the top of the page (search for example) and make all those things 1 column instead of 2? Thank you all! I really appreciated your feedback. @Gillos, yes I will follow some of your suggestions! At the moment The 'storm tag' and traditional tag are placed both for SEO scoring. I do not know if only the 'storm tag' can score god SEO/keywords, it's a a Java applet, but it is cool.. About 1,2,3,4... placeholders are for possible adverts. $$ thanx again all!
