Hi guys, There seems to be so much nonsense on the Web about the right keywords to use. I almost give up. I have a Recovery and Addiction Blog at http://alcoholism-alifesentence.blogspot.com that deals with my recovery from Alcoholism,Depression,Addiction and Anxiety after I received Electric Shock Treatment and Sleep Therapy. Is there any Good Samaratan out there who could give me some keywords/phrases that might actually get me some traffic? Cheers alanbutt
Just have a nice big drink and the answers will come to you Ok that was a bad joke about a serious topic and I apologize for the insensitivity. You should try using the Google keyword tool: https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal Try entering different words associated with your topic. Record all of those keywords and their matching monthly search volume. You will find many keywords related to your topic. The tricky part is deciding which ones have lots of searches, but not too much competition. Obviously some keywords will match your topic closer too. Once you have your keyword spreadsheet, you could try covering one or two different keywords in each new blogpost.
Look at Google's keyword tool. It will show you the monthly search volumes for different words. I would try and stay away from the keywords with an extremely high search volume because it will be hard to drive traffic for those. Look to the words that pertain to your site and have a decent amount of search volume. If all else fails contact Michigan SEO consultants and hopefully they can help you optimize your site.
Put yourself in the persons shoes that you are trying to reach....what would they type in? I also agree, google keyword tool is the best to use and it is free..use it and dig down to find words with high search and low competition Sounds like you've come a long ways............congratulations and best wishes for your success!
