Please explain Webalizer stats to me

    I'm having trouble understanding all the info from Webalizer. Can someone explain these terms to me please?

    As on the daily stats chart;
    Hits
    Files
    Pages
    Visits
    Sites
    Kbytes

    Or should I be looking at monthly stats instead?
    Total Hits
    Total Files
    Total Pages
    Total Visits
    Total KBytes
    Total Unique Sites
    Total Unique URLs
    Total Unique Referrers
    Total Unique User Agents

    Which category is unique visitors? I tried reading the official Webalizer help, but it seems to be written for people who already understand this stuff.

    As on the daily stats chart;
    Hits = files pulled, bots etc
    Files = files pulled of website
    Pages = How many pages were retreaved or visited
    Visits = How many people visited site ( Uniques)
    Sites = Also visits but can be other enetrances i.e. /blog
    Kbytes = data used

    Or should I be looking at monthly stats instead?

    Total Unique URLs = Total unique links people found you
    Total Unique Referrers = Total of uniques (links, search etc)
    Total Unique User Agents
