need your opinion guys... i admit im not a programmer so basically when i design a theme, i look for the simpliest theme that can be easily altered, my favourite is kubrick. i dont understand when people ask me if its coded or not? i didnt code it in the sense that the structure is base on another theme (i dont know php) but i coded it to look like how i wanted it. (knows css).

Question: when people ask me if its coded or not, what do i answer?? can i sell these themes and give full rights to the buyer after i edited it to something totally different??

If you edited off a another copyrighted theme, you cannot sell the themes or give them full rights to my knowledge. You need to create it from scratch.. However, if other people are using the same codes as well (an example would be myspace layout codes, lots of the layout codes are duplicates) then it should be fine.

What you can do is get the basic codes off wordpress.com itself, then alter it for sale OR use wordpress layout generators :D (that's what I'm looking for at the moment because I don't code either!)'

TO ADD: Yes you have to say its coded because it is (doesn't mean it's coded by you though, the template itself is coded)

    Coded is ready for use,
Uncoded - just the graphics and layout.

    This is what I understand.

WHene people are asking if it's coded basically they want to know if they can easily install it on their wordpress. If it's just a PDF file, then it would not be considered coded (those are my feelings on it anyway).

    thanks for the replies...

ive added a demo url. so that means its coded?

ive seen people submit their themes in themes.wordpress.net saying their theme is base from blah blah... and it gets accepted. can you suggest wordpress generator sites.. hmm.. can you share with me a basic wordpress theme from scratch so that i can use it when designing my themes in the future and i can say its coded. if you allow?? hehe :D

I would share if I had them! I'm still looking for generators (I think I found one for blogger but lost it!). When I start learning Wordpress (which I will have to because it's getting so popular), I will share them with you:p
