I kind of agree but i still think pr is significant.

Similar thing can be said : Saying the pr doesn't help my website is like staying in denial.

If i look at the lot of PPP opps, i notice those big businesses are asking for good pr ones not the pr0. I am pretty sure they got good guys to deal with the marketing and seo.

If you have a well optimized site with your keywords, it should rank well in the SERPS, provided it has been in the web for quite a while and you have been submitting it to search engines.

PR, a Google created thingy, relies on the number of incoming and outgoing links in your site. We all know the result of joining link farms to increase the PR after google covered that loophole a few years back.

Now we are going through another round of PR cleaning. This time it affects those who sell links. Can't blame them though cause google gives the PR and you are using that PR to sell links to make money. Googles takes away that PR and you lose the customer who is only interested in your site because of your PR.... PR is not the same as SERP. Try to convince your customers on your SERPS.:)

    1. Google does not show you "real" pr (just the same as with backlinks)
    2. Google still counts links and age to rank websites (but not only them).
    3. Everything is important (you shouldn't focus on the mere pr factor):
    -content
    -traffic
    -age
    -links
    -internal structure;
    -etc, etc, etc...

Even "private data" like your bounce rate and google subscription data might be the part of the algorithm.

For me PR is meaningless, what is more important is to rank higher in SERP ang huge traffic!

    Hi All,

Yes PR is nice But it is just a small piec of the Google Algo Pie. Incoming 1 way links are a big factor, as well as updating the site ofter with relevent unique content is a huge factor.

    Yup, totally agree.

And another thing I would like to add is that if anybody here don't think PR is important and meaningless, please send me some pr juice from your site or blog to my blog http://www.intelligenius.net. It has PR 0 right now. thanks in advance.
