I believe in spirituality not religion. There are numerous religions that would have you believe their God is the one and only God. I'm not against any religion or their God, but it is absurd and frankly a bit tiring to hear one religious person argue with the next who's God is the right one.

 

What's the point? Being polytheistic or atheistic is the way to seem open minded? Isn't it as much of a weird definition

 

The concept of God would be pointless if he had idols, sons, daughters or other people beside him.

The problem with religion is that much of what people believe is based on the knowledge we had 5000, 2000, or 1300 years ago. That is old information that does not seem to fit nicely with new science. If only religion was more conforming, there would not be such a big issue of science vs. religion.

But your point about business is spot on. Look at Apple for example. Do you think anyone actually buys their product because it is better? I think they have been brainwashed (with those cool commercials of people dancing). Don't get me wrong though. I don't think there is anything wrong with brainwashing as long as you keep a little bit of your mind open. I own an iPod and am religious.

There doesnt have to be a god for us humans to exist.

And if we were created by a god/gods, it would probably be some sort of an alien race, which would make more sense for some people. everyone has its own belief on what god is.

After all, content in the bible that describes god might refferer to what we call today UFOS.

Actually, a good atheist can tell you all about God.

 

People make a living using God or religion. They use you! I am not a firm believer in God as such, but it depends on person to person. At the least do good or serve others as much as you can in your life. You can become GOD. And most importantly dont keep others money

 

As a practising Sikh, we believe there is only one God. Just like some call me by my name, some by brother, others by son or friend etc... Christians use the name God, Muslims use the name Allah, Hindus use the name Ram, Sikhs use the name Vaheguru etc etc but in reality there is only one God...
