    Hi,

I have tried to submit my site www.thesaddleryshop.co.uk to yahoo UK only to be told they aren't accepting any more business submissions. I am now wondering what to do- do I submit to Yahoo.com or will that not help at all? I am getting good results on Google and some other SE's but Yahoo fails me!! Any help very gratefully recieved as I am at my wits end:confused:

P.S. Any other ideas how I can improve my Yahoo ranking? Our site is commercial so our content is varied but fairly limited as to what we can say about products, and has been live for around 6 months.

I think you should submit to yahoo.com and submit to yahoo.co.uk when it re-opens.

And no we don't laugh ;).

hahaha! ahem. submit to dmoz.org when you get a chance, its just as important as yahoo as a directory but bear in mind that it can literally take years to get listed so get your submission in early. free by the way. also said to give PR a boost, as it is a 'respectable' link source.

I am already listed in Dmoz, and an editor too- cracked that one but when I read yahoo was another one of the few PR9 links it seemed a good idea! Are there any other places to submit to with high PR that don't cost £1000's?!

Have you tried Search Submit Express? http://searchmarketing.yahoo.com/srchsb/sse.php

I imagine that Yahoo! UK has a similar service; and also, that if you are within the US search results, you'll automatically get included in the UK results if you have a .co.uk domain.

    Good luck.
