This graph correctly shows the reduction in national debt from 2000 - 2002.

Measuring national debt without adjusting for inflation is misleading.

 

I haven't commented on wether that figure is correct or not.

No, you simply agree that the purple graph is accurate. That purple graph does not show a 3 trillion dollar drop in debt. Therefore you agree. Like it or not. Don't be difficult.
