Please Critique This Cancer Website

I need some help. I am working with a friend in developing a website for cancer awareness and prevention. Here is a link the site: http://beingcancerfree.com/

I am a little too close to this project and could use some neutral opinions and critiques for the site.

Currently there is only one product on the site but we are in the process of creating additional products. Is it best to have all products on one page with a link to the product sales page? Or is there a better way to do this? the products will be related and will probably be a series of short reports, mp3 files and such.

I am in the process of having the sales page re-written as it currently does not exist for all intensive purposes but would like some suggestions on the site in the meantime.

All constructive criticism is welcome as well as quotes for re-writing the sales copy.

Thanks for letting me, it was working this morning. I will take a look and post back with the results.

 

Site should be working now, seems to have been a temporary glitch with the server.

 

The design is not bad but there is a bit of negative space on the landing page
I think you should add more content to fill that space.

Ok you need new hosting the site is a slow loading one, but when it does load the colours look good and work well and its quite east to navigate around the banner is fine and it works well..

i like the look of site. maybe font in menus can be better...
it looks also that you have problems with the host... site is very slow...

 

From my point of view, I think site looks great. It's smooth and matches with overall concept.

I think the header could do with some work to be honest. I don't think clouds are inviting... it's stereotypical of the early days of alternative health, when people didn't take it seriously. And the photo of the couple, which I'm sure is crucial to the site could do with replacing.

I suggest you grab a digital SLR camera (borrow from someone if possible) and get a better quality photo, something that gets captures natural depth and light.

The header is a tough one. this is crucial realestate that can convince people to read your content or to leave the site. Make it an emotional pull / grab with both the image and message you use.

Might be hiding somewhere on your site ??.... but a forum is always a terrific idea for people who are not healthy, the interaction with like minded people sometimes helps day to day life, so just a thought if you don't have one, maybe consider?

I agree that a forum would definately be a good idea. Other than that I like the layout and content.
