Purely on an aesthetic level, I think the empty gold bar at the top distracts from the rest of the page. I like the slider-bar thing directly beneath it though, very slick.
its cool but clean up the header a bit. the header seems to much like "technogoly" orientated. with humor site a cartoonish look would be better. Look at gkko.com or ugoto.com
