Hello fellow members. Could you please look at my site to see if there's anything I should change? Thanks in advance http://www.dailyblogs1.blogspot.com
I would pick a general topic instead of just posting about random topics. I would also opt for a self-hosted blog. Kevin
Hey Stephanie, I've had a look at your blog site and will be sincerely honest with you as that will improve your site. So please take it as constructive criticism. 1) Specialize on one niche per blog. For example, if your doing a blog on Student loans, write articles related to that niche only. I would not write something on stop smoking as it's not directly linked. Also have separate posts for your niche so that the user can see the different posts on the side bar. When I first started, I made the same mistake by having 20 different articles on different topics and hardly got anyone visiting the blog. So I've been there. 2) Get a banner done. I can do one very cheaply that will highlight your blog. E.g A banner showing students counting loose change with the logo Student Loan Tips seems to convey the message, doesn't it? Please contact me. 3) Sprinkle some keywords into your article by using the free Google keyword tool. 4) Get more adsense ads displayed on the side to earn some money after revising your article strategy. Another few blocks would fill in the empty side bar space. 5) Get a youtube video done to promote your blog. Again I can do that cheaply. 6) Next time do some keyword research for the title as dailyblogs1 will not get you noticed. Normally numbers don't work in titles. Otherwise, you seem to know what you are doing. Good luck and contact me for more guidance
One thing you should do is categorize your blog posts. Since you are posting about different topics, I would create categories for your main topic and file your blog posts there. Also, you should add images to your blog posts to make them more lively and less intimidating to read. Best of luck!
If you don't want to review the site, then why bother posting? For all we know, this person is just genuinely looking for advice to further their IM venture. Kevin
Because this thread was already opened, then I saw the blogspot.com url, then I posted in the quick reply, it's fast and doesn't cost anything. Good luck to him, much work ahead !
Thanks Kevin, I really appreciate the comments. What I've done is create a separate blog for each niche. I'll then optimize them separately. Thanks again for the comments.
The problem I see is you don't write your own content. I googled the top two articles and they are all over google. Whats the point in setting up a site using someone elses info?
There is only one long post. You need to have small posts with proper heading to attract users and to find information quickly. Cut that long post in pieces.
1. Switch over to a real domain name. 2. Ad on the bottom is useless since it will have quite a low CTR. 3. Add some more images to your content. 4. Missing any sort of navigation / categories.
The blog theme just screams "random blog with information about my life". Sorry but these cute looking backgrounds and themes on blogger make it much harder for people to take you seriously, let alone buy/click on ads. Second...why copy the Wikipedia article about trolling? Not only is that not allowed, it just makes no sense. There is not much to review yet...You are basically one of the millions who set up a blogger blog, you have to do much more.
That's why I posted what I did. Was waiting for the hero to say something about that... Plus it was garbage anyway...
