The Googlebot decided to stop visiting my site on Jan. 10th according to my webmaster tools. I didn't do anything that would get me banned. I also didn't do any kind of major overhaul. Any ideas? I have added new content and would like for this information to get crawled. Thanks! http://onlinedogtrainingbooks.com Google is still downloading my sitemap.xml file and my robot.txt file.
If you use Webmaster tools you also need to make sure you check the reports for dead links. Not being a bot myself I spotted at least a couple of dead links on your page. Besides, you are using WP. Have you made sure you have removed duplicate content? What plug-ins do you use to eliminate duplicate content? Are your category and archive pages crawlable? I didn't take a lot of time to click around but what I spotted was that the recent article about dog obedience is a duplicate content for sure because it is once displayed on the index page and then for the second time on the permalink url. If you insert <!--more--> Code (markup): after the first paragraph of your post, you hide the most of the article from the GG bot and you get a chance to display more than one article on the index page.
I am new to the board so excuse me if I am wrong, but I was just wondering if this kind of post is allowed here... The first thread of this forum is titled - This Section is Not for Discussions About Your Site (or any specific sites). Just wondering because I have similar questions and don't know where I can post them. - Thanks
GreenDog - This is off topic but do you make a decent amount from Adsense using that Wordpress theme? I have exactly the same theme on one of my sites!
It did crawled your site as Hersheys said above..on 10th Feb 2008 . Details are from http://216.239.59.104 DC.... and where is your title for the homepage mate?
u should cloak or at least nofollow all those affiliate links...not to mention many affiliate links are broken
I believe the best place to post similar questions would be Reviews After all this is what it comes to eventually: having fellow members to review a site to tell what's wrong with it.
