Humm....caters to a particular targeted audience. Good. Can't really comment on design as its a stock blogger theme. May be you should use Wordpress.org on your own domain than Blogger if you are serious about it.
Does WordPress.org allow ads yet? I thought I heard they did but I am not sure. I like your tips and recipes. I wonder however, the one about making your own holiday cards-- where do you buy your printer ink? Q...
There is a problem about ad palcements in the footer. I'm browsing with firefox and they are shown wrong
Visibility color link had a problem on certain monitor.Tested on old CRT and almost can't see that link (blended with white color) Remember,not all visitor coming from rich people who use big and wide ass monitor.
Not bad for your first blog I think if you add some graphics into the header it will make the blog look much better.
Nice desgin . On the top of left column, there is no content . I suggest you place the menus there . Plus, the page is not center align in IE browser . Why not set it center align .
Good content... nice design. Maybe think about changing the "true" header of the blog though. As it stands now, search engines will only find your site if people search for "kitchen sink"! You can leave the header as it is but alter the name of your blog to include targeted keywords such as "holiday ideas" or something. Keep rockin' it! Nice site!
