Two options: 1) make a few more posts, or 2) make a donation here: http://www.digitalpoint.com/tools/donate.html
There's not need to, but if you really would like to change your title, you can donate $50 to Digital Point and you'll get a custom title!
I think the fastest way to get rid of it is to make a few more post. Go over to the Politics and Religion section, there’s always someone eagerly waiting to chat over to that side. PS lus you can’t get negative rep
I agree. Peons should be changed to "potential spammers" instead. Since many people join to push their pyramid schemes these days. Once they get 10 posts and are still green - then they can be upgraded to peons. Makes peon sound a lot better, doesnt it?
I don't find Peon so offensive. I just see it as a person that has to put some quality work to be a bit different from the rest of the crowd. If you check out the forums, you'll see that it's really not that hard to get over the post limit with clean, quality posts.
Yes, Peon is somewhat insulting. Change it to anything like 'Newbee' or 'Inexperienced' or anything else but not 'Peon'
The moon will turn to cheese before Shawn changes it!!! Donate to the new server and you can have your own title!!
yes, peon is not 'pee on', it's peon, like a worker/villager ... look at the warcraft/world of warcraft websites for more 'cool explanations' http://dictionary.reference.com/search?q=peon will give you the official description, now you have to be a real peon not to be able to go to dictionary.com on your own
I think so too It all depends on how you think about it. It is an experience that everyone should undergo I don' t see any reason why we should change the name to "President of DP", King of DP", etc. Let it be like that. Make your contribution here valuable by posting valuable information, and assisting other. A small donation will do it for the curious ones
Here is a solution: donate to help get the servers that are wanted, and get your title changed. Otherwise, stop being such whiny emo's and start posting in the forums, instead of your blogs. (i'm willing to bet those who complain about a forum title, make 20 posts on their blog about it for every 1 for post on DP) *sigh* Rob
Source: The Free On-line Dictionary of Computing (2003-OCT-10) peon <jargon> A person with no special (root or wheel) privileges on a computer system. "I can't create an account on foovax for you; I'm only a peon there." [Jargon File] (2001-12-23) Seems most of us are still peons
