Hi everyone, I am doing alone this online food marketplace: www.sunnymeals.com and i would like your advices and reviews on this first version of it. Now i am doing the second version with more functions, like blog, forum, member profile... and after this i will do the translation in more languages so all advices are welcomed! The website is about Cooking and Selling your handmade meals or fresh products and finding homemade meals near your home. Thank you a lot for your help and reviews!
Hi my first impression when I looked at the site was 'looks good'. I did a quick check on the w3c validator [ validator.w3.org ] and you could do with fixing a few things to make the code valid (small things, but there are a few of them) - fixing them will ultimately help your site in the long-run. - quick tip: change your doctype from the xhtml-transitional to html5 ( http://www.w3schools.com/tags/tag_doctype.asp ) - it instantly reduces errors from > 100 to 35 . also, one point I'd make on the homepage would be to change the 'enquiry now' buttons to be links to the pages rather than the contact form - I was a bit confused by this and initially thought this was all your site did - a homepage with a linked contact form, till I clicked on the image of the meals and it took me to a page. I'd probably change the 'enquiry now' button to a 'Details' button - you already have an enquiry button on the product page anyway
Nice idea, nice and clean site.. The second version, it is a newly build website or make the current site bigger by adding blog, forum, etc ? If it is a new site, then I prefer use webfont..
Thanks for your message, Yes i m going to make the current site bigger, i am doing the designing phase now.
That's an interesting idea. As mentioned above change 'enquiry now', apart from the functional reason it doesn't actually make sense in English, I assume you're not a native speaker? The correct term would be 'enquire now' in British English or 'inquire now' in US English, choose whatever's best for your target market. Other tips would be reduce the header image in size, took a long time to load and maybe drop the animated logo, it's a bit of an outdated design feature (just my opinion). All in all though, very nice and an original idea. Good luck!
