Looking for "expert" appraisals on this name. Taking offers via pm as well. I've no time to develop as planned.
Unfortunately the(dot)cc extension isn't that popular and the owners of the Dr seuss copyright would see this kind of domain name as a form of cyber squatting, Its like registering AskJeeves.cc (which is still aviable) What in the world could one do with it considering the possible consequences if you were to develop it. $0.00 to anyone without the copyright!
Well an amazon book store was my idea since there's over 1200 Dr Seuss listings there. I've owned this for quite some time. You can get a nice ranking with a .cc domain just as any other extention. I'm sure if Seuss cared I'd already have a C&D
Seems like you can benefit a bit but as mentioned as Roofis. Becareful!! Maybe if you're making a dif application different to the original .com then you can perhaps survive. goodluck Verdict - Mid $xx
50.00 with 12,000 searches daily for the exact keyword? You can rank a .cc on the first page if you know how to do it! I'm a little concerned with the low value considering the keyword alone. Look up Dr Seuss for those that don't know it. It's hugely famous in North America and has been for decades. Cat in the hat? Green Eggs and ham? One Fish Two Fish? Horton Hears A Who ? How The Grinch Stole Christmas ? I could at least 3 of those being major motion pictures as well as books. Wow.. I've no intention on doing anything harmful to Seuss company with the domain. It could be very useful to someone to resell their books! I've no time at the moment but if anyone else does pm me. But I certainly won't sell it for 50.00 12,000 searches daily = 360,000 searches for the exact keyword per month.
Well sales regarding .cc is certainly going down. I know coz I sold cheap LLL.cc NNN.cc and CC.cc Though of course if you can gain a lot of traffic chance were you can gaid a lot of money but also don't forget Seuus Corp can take the money back LOL
The thing is I doubt they will. Why? Because you're selling books for them! There's no loss to them. They make profit. The site owner would only get some commission per sale + adsense. Make sense? Would be a horrible move really for Seuss to try and take it. I'm sure if Seuss really wanted it I would have gotten a C & D There's a difference between parking a domain and actually selling books for them. Parking is such a waste. Plus there's a million domains with the word Seuss in them. Just not the perfect exact keyword like this? None have been C & D They've only ever sued two people.. one for making a musical parody and one for something completely stupid. I did my homework.
I see. Goodluck then. As I mentioned before the verdict is for the domain only. Get more traffic and developed a website you can gain a lot. Cheers Repped you coz you did ur homework..
