please allow me to introduce myself.........

good evening, all-

my name is michael (aka ringchild), and i'm brand new to this domain thing.

after 20+ years as a stone guy, i have found the limitations of the body i posses to be incompatible with the aforementioned career choice.
i started trying to figure out a new path.....

never really thought of "domaining" as a business until i went to reg some domain names for a new venture. all i had ever heard about was the "guy that sold his domain to the company who owned the product, for sum of $xxxxxxx".
i came up with a few extra names with that thinking in mind.
well, after reading thru severall forums, i found out that tm domains are very much frowned upon, and then i learned all about "grace delete".

so here i am, in the present.
been at this about a week, i have a stack of domain names that are mostly bad, but there are a few decent ones.
the bucket of apples i was carrying around has been properly disposed of, and i'm hoping to learn how to make a go of this in an honest, profitable manner (i do not believe the two to be mutually exclusive).

from what i've read on the 'net, this was one of the places to learn to do it properly.

back to reading for me........

Hi Michael, everyone have their own story on how they arrived here and became a member. Yours is one of the most interesting introduction that I read so far.
