    I would consider some changes on the following:
    1) What is the website plateform you are using? Joomla? Drupal? Wordpress?
    2) Logo?
    3) Figure out whats the sites purpose: Promoting product/service

    telling the truth design is a little bit obsolete. So you are right - its old school look. I see you like it, but what about your visitors? Maybe you should make a poll at your website and ask them if they like the desing?

    It looks like a generic template from a free template site. Try to change the header so it looks custom. Also, on the inner page increase the font size and line height so that the text is easier to read. If you want old school why not redesign the site to use 8-bit pixel art or go back through the internet archives and look at the old hacker group sites like BSRF.
