i recently plan to start a new forum like DP, coz i am somuch inspired.
so pleaz review my
webmaster forum
and suggest me what should i do to promote it in cheap way.

Looks very similar to DP as far as categories are concerned. Start putting some content , you might have to find some good forum poster for this. You can also get into some post exchange arrangement with other DP member who have forum.

Do you think you forum will be better than DP?
do you think WHich forum ranked higher on SE?

I have no idea why you want to start a webmaster forum similar to DP

i know it well, coz my webmaster forum is brand new and have no posts in it.
DP is 9 years and 9 months OLD and my forum is just a few days, DP have over 1 hundred thousand members, and 9 hundred thousand posts, and me only ONE...

i am not competeing the digital point forum, bcoz DP have around 100 modrators (maybe) and me the ONLY 1..
definatly i will not rank well in SE.

but i bet u , if i capture the 10 % share of traffic from DP, then i feel my self BETER than DP as a SINGLE person...


any body agree with me?

You will not get even 10% traffic from DP until you follow these things

1. get VB for your forum.

2. Put some content on your forum

3. Get a nice design/theme

4. Do heavy promotion of your forum.

why VB ? is it the only software for better rankings or it captures the best traffic automaticly from SEs?

i think NO.
may be it have some extra features than SMF but not required for better rankings, but my forum must have good content/posts and should have heavy advertisments.

i am not confirming any body to get 10% traffic from DP. but just asuming if i get...

yes, the default theme is not professional look and logo will help, if you are serious to start a forum. all i can say is hard word and money to be successful in forum.
