playstation3.info

Besides playstation3.com and .net, both of which are registered by Sony, I don't think there are many domains better than this. There are .org, .ws, and .tv, but I haven't seen any of them listed for sale. :)

I had to snatch this one from the old owner after she forgot to renew it. According to WHOIS records, she had it registered since '03...what a shame.

So, make your bids if interested. If there isn't enough interest, this may eventually wind up on eBay along with the mess of console preorders that began earlier today. :)

There isn't anything on the site yet, but .info's have just as much potential as .com's as far as SEO is concerned. microbes.info comes up on top for "microbes" on Google.

    Starting Bid: $10
    No BIN; just PM/post offers.
No reserve decided either -- I'll look at what you guys have to offer first. :)

Bad news. GoDaddy has informed me that I got the domain due to a glitch in the system. The .info domain is registered by Sony Europe, and though it expired in August this year, for some reason I'm not allowed to snatch it. So, GoDaddy has issued me a refund and I won't be getting that domain.

However, I still have playstation3.name, which is slightly worse than info, but still decent. This one I definitely have full control over. Anyone willing to make offers?

Yeah, it's a bummer. So any interest in the .name? Bidding starts at $10, I guess.

I am hearing more and more about underhanded tactics from Godaddy such as registering domains that users search for and things like the above (which probably wasn't underhanded). I would just use Namecheap from now on. It's easier and more trustworthy IMO.

I've received a refund for the .info from GoDaddy. The customer service rep I spoke to was really nice about it, too.

I assure you that I have full control over the .name, so the same thing will not happen. If something goes wrong, I will offer full refunds.

Thanks for the bid, eXe. Anyone else interested? I'm not expecting offers like $1K for .org (and the PS3 isn't even an organization -- it's a brand name, which is why the .name fits), but I'm sure this has more potential than $10. I'd like this domain to go to someone who's skilled at SEO and would be able to turn this into something profitable.

The current bid on playstation3.name is $25, if anyone's still interested. Expires in October '07, so there's still time.
