Wanted to see what DP members are going to get in November. The WII and the PS3 is coming out in November.

The cheap version of the PS3 will be $499 and the full version is $699. What are you guys getting?

Of course, I'm a Sony guy and I'm defintely getting the full version of the PS3.

    Can't wait 2 more months!!!!!

    LOL

I'm not a big gamer, but if the past is any indication I'm sure between my two brothers they'll have all three at some point. My one brother has PS1, PS2, Xbox, Nintendo 64, Genesis with the CD rom add on (forgot what it's called), PSP, and god only knows what else :D He wanted xbox last christmas but couldnt find one.:(

I'm going to get a Wii, as the PS2 didn't do anything great for me. I know that compared to the rest, and considering my budget, I'll probably be getting a wii with my adsense earnings.

Playstation 3 is too expensive, considering how much I would use it, and I'm not a big XBox fan. I'll be getting a Wii most likely. I like the motion-sensitive controller on it, as I'm big into physical gaming rather than the sit-down variety.

But I won't be getting any as soon as they come out. I'll probably just wait and see what games come out first.

I've got a 360 already. The PS3 is a bit too expensive at the moment. I'll proably get a Wii, not that I think it'll be that great in the long run, but I think it will be great for some good old fashioned short-term fun.

Start a games site, then you can claim that it is all "research".

I've had the 360 since launch and I'll probably get the Wii after it launches here in Europe, there's no way I'll be getting a PS3 anytime in the near future, I don't see anything to justify it being so much more expensive than the Xbox 360.

    A Wii for me.

I'm glad to see so many people here supporting the Wii, I actually thought most people wouldn't give it much thought. The DS exploded in Japan (where I am). Games such as Brain Training and EigoZuke (for learning English) grabbed thousands of non-gamers, including my wife who made me buy her a DS Lite.

I can see the Wii doing the same. With 27% of the Japanese population over 60 years old now, imagine how many light-exercise games they'll make for them. Heck I'd buy one for my grandparents if I thought they needed the exercise and would enjoy it - Fancy a game of boules, Grandma? How about some interactive wheelchair aerobics?

Neither. I do not own a game console and have no plans to change anytime soon. I just can't see sitting in front of a tv playing games when I can be out in the real world living life.

I don't know if this will happen, since the games manufacturers tend to always concentrate on the younger market, rather than on older people. I think it's a missed opportunity.

I run a site called Breathless Gaming, which is all about this sort of stuff. One thing that using a console has over going out and doing it, is that you can do it in the privacy of your home, without constraints such as time, venue, or other people. For example, normally it takes two to tango, but not when you have console exercise games.

I spent an hour today on my dance mat and boxing games. It's something I could never do in public, I'd be too embarrassed. This way I can work out whenever I feel like it, getting fit on my own terms and having fun at the same time.

True, playing games does take time and doesn't make people enjoy life as much as they should. But it's another form of relaxing. So I can't blame people for playing video games. Of course, I have seen people who play it 6 to 10 hours per day which is crazy.

Can't wait till Madden 07 comes out on PS3. The high defintion must be incredible on it.
