Hi guys. I was thinking about adding some YouTube clips to my site. The problem is that I do not want to have the YouTube branded player on my site. I was thinking about using a custom FLV player; but with the source flv from YouTube. Do you think this is 'illegal'? Do you know of any other sites who is doing this? Thanks
Well I beleive that this may help, it gives you an easy wat to put video on your site but the vids are from YouTube. YOu can customize which keywords to use to pick videos grabbed from youtube. Watch here Also the script displays adsense ads to help earn you income.
Youtube's terms and conditons state that: "You agree not to access .. YouTube Content through any technology or means other than the video playback pages of the Website itself, the YouTube Embeddable Player.." " If you use the YouTube Embeddable Player on your website, you must include a prominent link back to the YouTube website on the pages containing the Embeddable Player and you may not modify, build upon, or block any portion of the Embeddable Player in any way" So I guess it would be illegal.
go to the site ltnichescript.com it tells how it works, it uses youtubes own features and youtube is displayed on all the videos
I was running a small site using (mainly) youtube sourced videos but all credentials intact. But today the videos are gone?! Do you or someone know what the matter could be? BTW http://www.ltnichescript.com/ doesn't talk about anything about legalities aspect.
You should get the permission of the people who copyrighted the videos. You can make a custom flash video player if you alter the skin settings to use the Moyea web player Pro rather than the default Youtube player. Here is the tutorial - Customize a web FLV Player in the easiest way
it is of course not legal to use a copy right protected video. But there are a lot of people do it without permision.
