The title of this thread is the Adwords ad meant to rope people into to this new website at the following entry page:

    http://www.friendo.com/PR_050426.html

The ultimate purpose is to, of course, make a sale.

But there is something in it for the visitor too. He/she can play the game for free by clicking on "Play Online".

Would appreciate all comments, especially criticisms.

    Thanks.

Only got to take a brief look for now, but I would highlight the "Play Online" button a bit more.

I kept trying to click the "Guest" picture to no avail... ;)

    Bazkaz, "Guest" button is fixed.

i originally thought people would click "Play Online" before they looked for the same "Guest" button.

    my mistake.

    thanks for the advice :)

    I would replace this line:
    "Click Play Online at www.friendo.com"
    with a "Play Online" button.

I'm already on Friendo.com so the URL reference is just taking up extra space or confusing people. The "Play Online" on the left side menu could also have the same effect as the "Press" button.

Edit: I don't know if I'd do both though since they are so close on the page. I would still get rid of the line I referenced at the top of the post.

humm....obviously, the writer of this press release didn't take into account the positioning of the items on this webpage. guess i'll have to have a word with him. but my technical knowhow only allows me to do so much without his help.....

    thanks bazkaz.

    Go WA State!

    Hi there,

My first glance said too much white. With nothing in defined borders or tables seperating one section of content from the other it looks slightly haphazard. I would at least try to seperate the nav system on the left from the main content. The mouseovers on the nav look superb.

If possible, I would reduce the size of the Case and Questions image. Scrolling down is somewhat of a standard but scrolling to the right makes lazy webbers like myself deperately grope the mouse for a horizontal scroll button. :)

I like the circular logo but the font is a little chubby making it hard to decipher. I would go with a darker font on either the phone number or the URL to attract more attention. If it's not one solid color you might as well try to use it to your advantage.

Whoever designed the cover image for the box does incredible work. Personally I would try to incorporate aspects of it throughout the site.

The site itself does what it was intended to do effectively. Most likely the bulk of your traffic wouldn't give a rat's buttocks about the things that I've mentioned but I thought I'd give you a few things to consider.

Keep on designing my friendo. :)
