platform suggestion

    Hi.
    I'm creating a social networking site for photographers, and I'm using Dot Net Nuke. There are things I like, including granular priveleges. I'm not happy about some of the things to do with .net, including fewer choices of modules than php.

    Are there any comparable platforms that use php? I like Joomla, but I don't want to bridge to all the features.

    I always recommend PHP if you want to make a social networking site. Joomla is right solution.
    If you really want to make a successful social networking site, you must get suggestion from any reputed PHP developer. Live example is Facebook which is now at the top of the verge among social networking sites.

    If you would like to make a social networking site php is the better option, either BuddyPress or Joomla are very good choices.
