Hi all, I would consider myself relatively new to the world of making money online (1 year old!) and I have found that I am receiving a nice sum of money to fund my university drinking! I currently average $4-10 a day from adsense, finding most of my traffic is coming from one of my sites that I am #1 in Google for my chosen keywords. I'm receiving around 200-500 visitors a day - 85% being organic, the rest coming from link exchanges etc.. however - it may sound weird because to some of you this traffic is low! I'm finding it hard to increase the traffic flow to the website on a regular basis from Google.. is there any easy way to target a bigger keyword without ruining what i already have... my keywords are pretty good i would say for a starting point, but aren't the number one search term. i.e. for example i would be 'yellow cars' rather than 'cars' - apologies if i seem reluctant to give out my keywords! Thanks for any input Alex
Don't worry about bringing more traffic to that site. Instead why not make some more sites optimized around other keywords. Eventually with enough of those sites your combined income from Adsense would be much higher.
John Guanzon - Thanks for that suggestion I have made another site recently targetting different keywords with similar content. I've made sure not to duplicate though - i guess it will take a month or so before i can discover any trends QWest - its part of the health niche so im guessing options are there. However, the actual niche i'm in is quite small i would say and i'm not really wanting to upload irrelevant information.. how often would you suggest updating a site in order to improve PR etc.. ive been number one for my search term for a long time now but im PR1, used to be PR3 but it went down for some reason (perhaps lack of updating)
Google likes fresh content. Do you constantly update your site? You can also include social bookmarking sites to promote your product. Personally, I use socialmarker.com. There's 40 or so social bookmarking sites in that tool. Just submit the url and you're good to go.
