Planning to start a new website & writing an AdSense e-Book

Hi guys,

I'm planning to start a new website, but I don't know on which topic to go I would like some topic with "strong" advertisers that might bring me AdSense revenue.

So, here are some topic I am interested in:

- Renault cars
- Cars
- Swimming
- Table tennis
- Web mastering (Joomla, etc)
- (Suggest your own)

Please note that I am not able in any way to beat sites with Alexa higher than 300.000. The topics I mentioned are something that I am familiar with. However, I am always open for new ideas.

Also, I have been thinking of writing and AdSense e-Book. Do you think it is a wise idea? Are there still people willing to buy it?

You're getting a little ahead of yourself. You can keep notes along that way that would eventually turn into an e-book, but I wouldn't have a starting goal be to start an e-book.

 

If you need to ask around which topic is best suited then you should avoid writing a book on Adsense.

 

my suggestion go for the niche you are the most strong in the above list you mentioned , you should ignore Web mastering (Joomla, etc) because no webmaster is going to click an ad
and keep this thing in mind " content is king, not adsense

Yes, I've been already taking some notes that could turn into an e-book. So, actually, when I think twice, it will take me only 2-3 days just to repack the content and make an original e-book. Why not?

Maybe I am going to go with cars. Of course that content is king - I've been experimenting with copying content from other sites, and I am ashame of it. Plus, it didn't work. All content on http://www.ad-sensing.com had been created by me.

Creating a cars website will take me a lot of time. I'm thinking of a bit different approach to the subject...I am not going to have all car manufacturers on my website, but there will be something else ... wait and see

Common sense dictates that you need strong demand with the least competition. That's a tall task. If you are doing cars, I suggest you do it on one make or even one popular model (say Mustang). It's easier to optimize a niche than a supermarket. You can use the Google Adwords traffic estimator tool which is the reverse of what you want. You want high PPC so try experimenting with keywords till you get high cost keywords. They'll pay the most for a click.

Don't overlook integrating an Ebay motors feed into your site for the models you choose. I don't like to see that as the only content but it makes sense as part of your overall package $$$. The content is always changing.

I get a lot out of a software called Web CEO. They have a free version. It's a keyword tool but it will highlight high demand keywords with the least competition (KEI). The only flaw is a one day sampling that leaves some niche keywords undetected.

hi bogdan, if you know that your experience with adsense is unique and not a repeat of what many people have read in exisitnig ebooks, you can still go ahead, there are still thoiudands of newbies out there that will be inetrested. As long as the price is okay, these newbies will be willing to buy it. I will buy it if you can guarntee that the advice and suggestioins you offered in the ebook will help increase my adsense earnings.

And by the way, you are flattered as being the adsense master, so why not prove that with an ebook?

 

I wrote an eBook and sold nearly 1,000 copies (at $10/each) here at DP... But I think one of the only reasons I sold so many was because my website is a Google Adsense Success Story, so everyone knows that I know what i'm talking about.. so, like has already been posted - focus on success on your website first, then worry about the ebook, otherwise i doubt many people would buy it..
oh yeah - that ebook is now published for free in my blog.

 

If I sold 100 e-books at price of 9$, I would be completely satisfied! You can live with 900$ for a month here in Serbia.

Now I will probably write it. The question remains how many pages should it have?
