Well I'm just creating my business site: http://www.tolynn.com and it occurred to me that it would be awesome to make it a short story (I'm thinking of a small dialog like in a drama script) on the homepage to tell what we do and provide incentives for the visitors (potential clients) to contact us using a form embedded in the paragraph. I'm not asking you to come up with the actual lines. I'm working on that. Just if you have any ideas that could make it more unforgettable or striking or a little bit spice in the story plot, please fire at will! Thanks fellows!
Maybe add a photo thumbnail of a "normal" looking woman [Not some models or stock "call operators" or something] to replace the Kate icon Also maybe have Kate hit on the customer towards the end or flirt with [hopefully] him. Better leave it out. I would be pissed if some website addressed me as "Dear child/adult/senior citizen".
Interesting idea. Maybe use some of the techniques they use in those corny radio commercials where the hubby and wifey are having a conversation about X sale or Y lawn service? Except...not corny Although, from looking at the site it seems you might want the conversation to be between client and c/s agent, in which case I would maybe have the client character talk about some "bad stuff" that happened with another provider (no names, stay above reproach) and let the agent explain ho your company is different and safeguards against "bad incident." Also, I'd get rid of sir/ ma'am and, ince you've established which icon is for which character, I don't think you need to keep reiterating "Kate" "You". Hope that helps.
I've been exposed to so much craziness over the years. I always try to relate to my messages in a personal way instead of sounding text bookish. Surely you can find a family member or friend that can relate to what you're trying to convey. Seriously, I would go into a scenario session with "live" people, and let your imagination work around what they have to say... just so you can see for yourself -reactions and believability<--is that a word? Say it "out loud" = does it sound okay that way? Have you seen any badly done infomercials? .. There are a few!
