Planning to buy me first laptop. Confused between sony and dell

I prefer you go for dell because it is there specialty, and besides there technical team is wonderful.

 

If I were you, I buy Dell .

 

If I have to choose between those two, I would go for Sony. I always trust the brand name quality.

 

I have a dell, it was good at first but i hate it now. The thing with laptops, they are outdated very quickly. A couple months after you buy the best one, an even faster and better one comes out. And you can't really upgrade a laptop. But if you're going to travel and stuff then you got to have one. So since i have a Dell and don't like it much and a majority of people are saying Sony.....i say go with the Sony.

 

If you haven't decided which to go between Dell & Sony, I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND you to go with DELL in terms of their prices, quality and technical support . Best of all

 

Both are best , but i prefer Sony VAIO.

 

I am using Acer...Cool laptops....


Anyway for your voting i will select SONY.

Dont go with Dell they are a bad company. When I ordered my laptop they sent me a badly scratched laptop when I ordered a NEW one! I personally don't like Dell computers either. I would go with the Sony.
With Sony you can get the reliability of a reputable company and get good support

 

Look, If you have MONEY and you want a Quality laptop with good performance and you want to show off then Go for VAIO.
Else if you dont have enough money to spend and u want a GOOD performance laptop go for DELL, Both will give almost same performance but yes the "TAG" "SONY VAIO" will matter on your LAPs !!!

Have been using my Sony Vaio for about two months now and its amazing. I had a dell inspiron before that gave me a lot of problems. Go for Sony!!!!!

 

I got a Dell laptop. And I only bought it cos it was so cheap. The parts for the Dell laptops are so flimsy and cheap. It's like they use 2nd hand or refurbished parts or something. They break easily. I had to get my keyboard replaced cos the keys kept popping out.

I need to buy a new casing for my laptop too cos it's been 'stained' by my wrists cos of excessive use I guess.

One thing I REALLY disliked.. is how when I was thinking of buying a printer I called up Dell and asked for a quotation. I gave my personal mobile (cell) number; which Dell don't have on their database, they have my dad's number.

Anyway a few weeks later I got this text from somewhere saying I can get a free phone on my orange contract. At that time I wasn't even on a orange contract. I was on a Virgin Pay As You Go. And it was so obvious that Dell sold my number to this marketing company because no other company has my number, I don't give it out.

So they're also making money on the side, selling customer information; guessing that I wouldn't be able to trace it lol

Well they were wrong!

So yeah get Sony
