    Hi all,

I am planning to buy a printer. I am looking for a printer come scanner combo inkjet or a laser printer. I am not planning to spent lot of money, its just for my personnel use. Must be worthy for the money I spent. Tell me about the quality, about the maintenance such as catridge filling, how much copies can you print on an average in one toner, catridge, etc., Brand (HP, canon, etc.)

    Thankyou,

    Lono :)

If it's only for personal use, then maybe consider printing to PDF instead of paper (save the planet, blablabla etc...). I send all my invoices as PDFs, and only use paper printing for advertising/proofs, which I'd never consider doing on a consumer printer anyway.

    What are you printing?

I know people that print eBay auctions so they can read them offline. I don't get it. :)

HP launched the New office jet pro 6000,6500, all in one printer, new technology is used,
actually this is inkjet printer, but we can take 2500 copies by single cartridge , It does all performance like
laser jet printer. cost around $250,$200 only.....

If you want it cheap, avoid laser, they are not for limited personal use for ROI. They are costly if you want to stay small and have limited funds and little need for mass use. Also what are you using it for 'specifically' if for a certain thing, you may not need a printer, but if for general use, go with a Lexmark, HP or a few others but go for bubblejet or something like that I think. And like zymon said all in ones r good from HP are good, though software is pain sometimes.

For personal use, I would recommend Canon MP258, this is a print, scan copy printer and it goes around $75. The cartridge is easy to refill, you can just inject it by yourself.

Go for HP printers. They are the best. Just visit the website of HP and find the one that suits your budget and needs.
