Planning for SEO certification

    Trial and error is the best way to get the experience you need. I can tell you it is not to much to it when you follow the basics and check out my sig (below) for some nice info on the SEO practice ..

    I understand where you are coming from Siva and the all the comments and answers here are relevant and useful. However if you are applying for a job, your resume may be passed without some sort of SEO certification. So I would advise that you do it. Typically the clients and HR department of companies that are looking for the services of an SEO consultant are interested in certificates, etc.

    But all the members here are correct. SERP's and proof thereof is what really counts.

    A colleague of mine who has a medical qualification and an SEO certificate is flying high in Australia. Just go to an employment site like seek.co.au and type in 'SEO'. There are tons of jobs and SEO consultants are in demand.

    Taking a job may be the best way to build your exposure as an SEO consultant and your reputation as well as a corporate clientele. Bottom line though is that the piece of paper does count initially. But ultimately it is the results that will speak for itself.

    It just depends what you want out of your SEO career.

    hay friend,

    all such certificates are worthless....wastage of time and money...better to learn through DP and through your research and project works...that is gonna help you out in your SEO career not the so called SEO Certificates
