Squeeze pages are so 2005...do people really look at those things and trust them anymore?

The best sales tactic is to present a product and make it look exciting. Don't throw any BS "limited time only" offers or pressure people into buying it. If you've presented it well enough, it will sell on its own.

I am achieving similar goal, but it took me little longer.

I will suggest to set short term targets like
    In First 3 months $1000 a month
    In First 6 months $2000 a month
    In First 9 months $4000 a month
    In First 12 months $6000 a month

This is very much achievable than $5000 in six months.

If you need help on specif thing, let me know.

Yeah i do think its tight to get that high in 6 months. It would be interested if i actually worked out what the income was from the net for all my apps, advertising, affiliates, subscription sites, etc etc

Might have to find out now!

Think I will be devestated if its only $1 after 10 year lol

I must admit, I agree. Every time I see a squeeze page I'm outta there.

Yep best to take those small steps first otherwise the goal will look to big and your just lose passion.

Set yourself mini goals to start with : 100 visitors a day etc

Then later on start thinking about making the money.

Remember look at Twitter that doesn't make any money and it has loads of traffic, but it's worth a lot because it's useful to people, so think in terms of how useful your site is before putting pressure on yourself to reach a very hard goal!

You will see very little results at the beginning, don't let the discourage you. Growth is something that takes time and you should see rapid growth once you're established.

You have a very high goal for a newbie, but sometimes a goal has to be high to motivate you to do something, anything, to get off of your backside!

I always set seemingly impossible goals, if they motivate me. In the end, I out perform my original goal ahead of time. Just be ready with another high goal by the 5th month!:)
