From day one I have seen loads of plagiarism from all of our sites. Usually images or even charts leached off but usually pretty harmless. From time to time we would see technical works or printed out and sold with ebay items but whatever. I started a lot of my sites with the intent to spread information. So I usually look the other way if its information just being reproduced for the sake of communication. Lately I am starting to see articles and posts from my sites just cut and pasted into MFAs or blogs. A good example is: http://azaharacarreras.blogspot {dot} com/ Which is just a cut and past of http://volvospeed.com/Mods/fiberglass_speakerbox.html and http://volvospeed.com/Mods/carputer.htm That sucks but whatever. What totally pisses me off though is seeing these articles spun and reposted on 15 billion domains all on the same IP plastered with adsnese ads, or sold in "content packages". Recently I even had one member here try to sell me a link on a page that was content taken from one of my sites. Am I too uptight? Is "spinning" an article the same as journalistic interpretation now? Or is it just the new way to screw over whom ever you can on your ride to the top of adsense fame? Take a look at the example above and tell me what you think? Maybe I am just getting old but it seems like adsense and other PPCs are like plagiarism steroids when put in the wrong hands.
duplicate content, search engines will probably find those, doesnt matter too much, its their loss, contact them or something
Their spun enough they should not appear as duplicate content. I am not gonna piss anyone off and get my banners click bombed over some prick is just think its pretty lame when we let anyone use our content if they ask first or link back to the source article.
I wouldnt worry about what "they" do - let them chase their tails...You and I both know these people really wont get anywhere doing what they are doing. You already know what works best, keep doing that and dont waste any time with worry.
Since you do not seem up for sending them a cease and desist notice, report them to google web spam and you might feel better. As long as the search engines know you are the original then just take it as plagiarism being a perverse form of flattery.
I do probably 2-3 C&Ds a week with work. I can search any of the 500-600 reviews and how to's on my main site and basically everyone is ripped off 5-10 times. Don Quixote I am not. I just think its sad that in the last 2-3 years with adsense its 600000 times worse. Before it was just plagiarism, but now its theft for profit. Very rare is it I find an infringed article that does not have an adsense banner on it.
Plagiarism can really hurt your site on the SERPs, and that means it can hurt your pocket too in a long run. Have you ever thought about investing some $$ and protect your content if you feel that it would be important for you ? Try copyscape.com , have a look around and see if it meets your budged and if it can provide you what you need.
