Placing AdSense on image gallery pages - allowed?

    Hi,

Back in the past it wasn't allowed to put the AdSense ads on image gallery pages.

My gallery will look similar to this page on this site, here:
    http://www.trekearth.com/gallery/Europe/Switzerland/West/Basel_Stadt/Basel/photo351306.htm

And I see they have AdSense on that page.

Basically, I will have an image and plenty of text, commenting possibility, data about the image.
The ad will not appear as associated with the image.

It's not a search results page, but a photo gallery page. I will have over 1,000 pages like this.

Do they allow this or are they against this?

    Hi,
as long as you have some text then it should be fine. Traditionally a problem has been that ad targeting was an issue with pages which just have images and no text on them. So if you have some text and/or make good use of alt text then you should be fine. As long as you're not pushing adult images then there really shouldn't be any problem with adsense whatsoever.

    Cheers,
    -Ed

Read Adsense Guidelines, Adsense is genuinely not for auto created pages and pages having very low content..

    True. But there's nothing auto-created.

Photos aren't too thin, but I guess plenty of text would be needed. I guess I won't risk using it for now...

I'd definitely get clarification before placing adsense on such a site.

They don't have a valid e-mail address in the account, like they did years before. Google is more "untouchable", unreachable...
