Placing adsense ads on search results pages

I read through the TOS and searched here but I am a little concerned about what seems to be a grey area for me.

I would like to know your opinions (hopefully supported with facts) on Google's position on placing adsense on search results pages similar to the way Google does on their own SERPs (like they do on the right side of the page). Somehow I thought I remembered reading somewhere this was a no-no.

Thanks in advance for the input

I've checked and double checked on this issue. That line in the compliance/TOS guidelines refer to internal search pages without content.

As an owner of a search engine I've made sure that my webpages without results have some misc content on each page. This content brings the page into compliance. Plus that extra content is a good way to point people to some of the higher paying pages.
