placing ads close to the links?

    I have seen many websites that place adsense ads right next to the main menu bar, to confused the users thinking that it's another link.

    is it an adsense TOS violation if I place adsense ads very close to the links on my site? obviously people will accidentally click on the ads rather than the links. I can't find any policy regarding to this.

    it is ok for Adsense... but never use pictures near the links

    yeah its ok but as enkass132 said that using images near it will cause a site suspension as its against TOS

    Are you referring to link units? Just make sure there is a clear and defined border to say that those are ads.
