Hi, I'm wondering what are the places I can market my product. Currently I'm posting on Classified Ads and Facebook only. I prefer free advertising, so Adwords is out. I'm working on Forums too, but it takes too long. Yahoo Answers and some article marketing are my next plans. Any other ways? Thanks
Panda really hurt article directory marketing. Just make sure that you manage to write good content and submit it to Ezine articles first. Then you can push it out to other directories. As for other ways: You could check into Squidoo lenses and Hubpages. Build a list using Mail Chimp.
Backlinking for SEO doesn't seems to be very useful now, especially with Google +1. It's more interactive, compared to old school backlinking. Google is evolving everyday. I think we have to shift our focus more towards social networking nowdays. Article marketing is getting harder to get rank also.
Social networks and social bookmarking are your best options here. Use sites like twitter and stumble upon.

depends on the product. if you want to stay free, you can do, for example.. - article/bum marketing - youtube/video sites - facebook/twitter/other SM - classifieds - blog/forum commenting - making a viral widget or script - other freebie marketing (pdf or such) etc
Ya been using article marketing, then social bookmark them and share on facebook and twitter. But traffic is very slow. It's been the 3rd mth and I average to have only 30-40 Unique visitors daily. Any faster ways?
I don't think if you will be able to sell a product with free advertising methods. You will have to focus more on targeted advertising if you are doing it for free. Try article marketing, it looks targeted, you can write about the product and submit to directories.
forums, blogs, cold calling. Depends on your product/laws, but I strongly recommend targeted cold calls even if you don't like to (who does).
You are going in a good way! and your planning is also good. You can try on Google ad-sense, it is most effective way to advertise your product, and there are some other way to do this stuff like blogging, creating fan page on Facebook and using twitter ad.
You could also try blog commenting on relevant sites in your niche, ensure that the comments adds value or else they may simply be removed by the admin
