Hi, I am creating a free article directory that has a eco friendly theme, though I woudlnt mind making a little money from it indirectly. Does this placement seem okay to be on all pages? www.usgreenliving.com/index.html Thanks, Don
Haha, its ironic that you mention this site...as I just took an online survey from PSB Surveys for $2 under this exact topic...funny. Here, take a look at this link here...this is my website and how I've gone about placing my ads. http://www.surveygeyser.com 1) You have a lot of text and large and medium rectangles work really well placed inside of the content body. 2) Make sure that they are on the left side and "above the fold" that is where the user does NOT have to scroll downward to view them, but rather they are the first thing that catchs their attention when the page is loaded. 3) Also I suggest using only text based ads in between your content as I view image ads as a big turnoff when I'm trying to read content, so this is also important IMO. 4) Take off the borders in your skyscraper and make it match the brown background of your site, so that it "blends" in and actually looks like content for yoursite and not some banner ad. Viewers are smart nowadays and they usually won't click on something if it looks like an ad. 5) As for your skyscraper on the side make sure its the 600x160 width and not the 120 as its always better to have more width so that the words are not wrapped every two words as this will also turned otherwise interested viewers away. 6) With a large set of navigation links as you have on the side like that you MAY benefit from having a Link Unit place in between them, with good keywords and relavent contented text I could see these doing well on your site. Won't know until you try! 7) This is not adsense related, but still in regards to brining income to your site and something I've noticed a lot of sites doing as of late with the SEO marketing booming right now and thats to offer advertisement on your front page for maybe 2-3 spots you could offer something like two spots for 120x60 or whatever you decide and charge like $4-5 dollars a week really it depends on how many people come to your site, if not too many you may just wanna stick with adsense for right now, but after your site starts to grow and the traffic starts pouring this is definately something you should consider. ============================ Also, this doesn't pertain to your adsense but you navigation links on the side need not be white! Its VERY hard to read them actually, and most people may, not even see important imformation that you may be trying to convey to them through these. I'd change them to the same green thats on your banner, that would look really nice on your site. Remember is smallest changes that do the most sometimes, but anyways make sure your viewers KNOW that they are there! Hope this helps. Chad
