Just to be sure, the code is pasted BETWEEN the <head>ANYWHERE IN BETWIXT?</head> tags, right? Please advise....I am reworking a page and see some html out of sorts on original index page and want to make certain. THANK YOU!

No, you paste it just before the </body> tag.

Yes at the bottom of your footer is the best place to insert it

I think you can place the code in Head section of every page or footer is also a right choice.

    Yeah,

it does not go in the <head> tags, google reccomends it at the end of the body tags. I think if you put it in the heads, google will not be able to collect the data.

    Just my two cents,

The analytics code is intended to be placed before the </body> tag.

It is best to keep it at the very end. Means at the bottom.

It's funny guys, once one of my blogs I placed the code for the analitics and it worked properly for few months.

After sometime it just stopped working and i had to place the code again (but i didn't change anything on the HTML code of the blog).

Have any one had a similar problem??

    Thanks a lot :)
