    Hello .

    Place your personal Computer config .

    Suggest your best configuration .

    Mine :
    I think i would be holding old and worst config in d.p .
    My comp . Intel pentium 3 , 1ghz processor , 256 ram .

    I have just decided to buy new pc this jan 2008 .
    I would like to buy asus P5N32-E SLI motherboard , Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 Kentsfield 2.4GHz LGA 775 Quad-Core Processor .

    Is it the right choice , give me your suggestions .

    Yes, a quad core is the best option but you also need some quality RAM - DDR3 or DDR2 > 800 MHz. I would suggest a minimum of 2GB - 4GB recommended. Also if you want to be a gaming computer I'd recommend you the 8800 GT* from nVidia.

    Doesn't mather what pc/laptop you have is what you do with it ....

    I have 4 configs 2pcs and 2 laptops

    I use only 1 laptop the rest stay in a room with dirt on it :)

    My laptop is a HP nx7400 with dualcore 80 g.b hdd and 1 g.b ramm all i need :) for my business and for playing fifa

    Intel Dual Core 3.4MHz, 2Gb ram, two x 21" widescreen monitors

    I really like having a lot of screenspace for doing graphics/coding work, it's a lot more efficient not having to alt-tab, and you can do things like watch a movie and play a computer game at the same time.

    From a google search, 8800gt seems to be around $300US.

    It's somewhere around $300 indeed. However for a gamer I recommend the 8800 GTS which would be more than $500. That is only if you really want to play only in maximum resolution/detail.

    Intel P4 1.9GHz with 512MB DDR RAM. 200 GB HDD.
    Its more than enough for me. I don't even have plan to upgrade.
