Place To Find CHEAP Foreign Programmers?

I'm having a hard time finding a place (or person) that offers CHEAP programming.

All the sites/places I have found go through a 3rd part... none are directly going through the foreign programmer.

More specifically I'm looking for a foreign programmer that knows visual basic and has some English skills and is willing to work for VERY CHEAP (well... it might not be cheap for him/her but cheap for me paying in USD).

It'll probably be somewhat hard looking for someone to code for that price. 50 cents is pretty low, but try scriptlance.com and the sites already suggested and you mite find someone there to code for cheap.

Have you no soul? People need to make a living you know...Please don't take advantage of hardworking people who are in bad economic situations. Pay them what they are worth and it will come back to you in the long run.

Have you not heard of the principle of reciprocity?:)

.50 to some foreign persons is more than the average wage in their country... and also their is more to it than meets the eye... in the end the programmer will be looking at more money after the project is complete.

".50 to some foreign persons is more than the average wage in their country" deadly wrong, today it's like $200-$250 min wage. Do your research well. And programmers gets way more than min wage in any country

"in the end the programmer will be looking at more money after the project is complete." which money ? $1 dollar per hour ?

Offshore programmer rates starts from $5 per hour for complete novice. Actually you are looking for that based on your post. Experienced one costs $10 to $15, sometimes upto $20.

$0.5 today is WAYYY below min allowed by law salary here. So I am just giving you a real picture. I am not a programmer, not selling myself or someone else, or anything like that.

What bothers me more than I can imagine, you are here 2.5 years on DP and

    1) still didn't learn that
    2) didn't allocate needed budget

Why programmer will work for you for $0.5 per hour (or below ??!!) while he can go to local offshore programer sweetshop and be hired with all bonuses to work ? like gym, insurance, mobile, etc.

Hey, even here or on any freelance sites people pay at least 10 times more than you. in 80% of cases 20 times and more.

Even if we allow such country with such people who can't be hired and who are programmers (why they went to teach that or even think of it if they can't do this hard job for decent money in their country?) and stupid as well not to find some online jobs who pays 20 times more than you .... why someone who hired him and knows this secret will discover him to you (as well as to this DP and freelance sites) ? Million dollar question.

You could try www.elance.com however for .50 cents per hour I don't think you're going to get anyone but a scammer or a novice trying to learn.

You will more likely have to pay at least $5 per hour up too $15

I have fair knowledge about indian market. You will find many programmers here for cheap. If i convert indian rupees into dollars, i dont know any one working less than $2per hour.(that is what employees get paid) This is bare minimum for fresh graduates without any exp. After i swa your post, i enquired a few friends, if they want extra cash for work, no one showed any interest. you can try www.vastechno.com , they were my previous employers, i know they work for pretty less, but not sure if they will work at your cost.

People, stop laying into this guy about the price he's willing to pay. Remember that this is business, you should always try and get the lowest price you can for good work, when was the last time you gave someone a bonus just because you were being nice? Probably never for most of you.

I did gave a bonus to new year for all people I worked for. And will do again.

While yes it's a business you get much higher business risk with paying way lower than average. And it seems you didn't read my post. If something went wrong job still needs to be done. Moreover it's already a loss, second it's a loss to not getting it done in right time and third it's needs to be redone at much higher realistic rate.

So please don't tell me what should I do and I will not tell where should you go:) This is public forum and I will do anything which not restricted by the rules.

Erm, was I talking to you? Re read my last sentence. It says 'most' quite clearly.

I agree that you're more likely to get ripped off or receive low quality work if you do ask for low rates, but everyone has a price they're willing to pay and this guy's is $0.50 per hour. Although it is a bit silly (no offence ;)) to pay this little amount because the vast majority of the time you get what you pay for, everyone has the price they'd like to pay.

You may want to try looking for Pakistan or Eastern Europe programmers, not sure you can get at such wages though.

I'm a student, and my teachers don't give me money, no.
When I did do freelance writing, however, in the whole time I did it I took hundreds of orders, and only one person gave me a bonus even though every single one of them was extremely satisfied with my work. Don't get me wrong, I'm not unhappy about this, because I know that business people want to spend as little as possible to get the job done to a sufficient standard.

I don't want to argue with you, so if you have any further comments please PM me rather than us two clogging up this thread :)

Your teachers are not your bosses. That's why you don't get anything I wrote. Sufficient standart (not min, which is $5 to $8) for offshore programmer is $10 to $20 per hour. Superior even more. I wrote this not for arguing but for giving all who will read this thread usefull info which will safe lot of their time and money.

"for Pakistan or Eastern Europe programmers" I am from eastern europe, rates for programmers are above:)

Ok after I read this post, I checked with many freelance programmers through my contacts, 35 to be exact, in 15 countries including African countries, Pakistan and India, and I asked them if they would be willing to work for .50 cents per hour and their answer was " Are you insulting us?"

you are kidding my friend....$0.50 per hour is too low. People can simplily make $1 by posting in forum which not request any skill. Programming and designing will never charge for this price.

Make it more reasonable or you will not able to get a quality work
