    Dear All

I am new here and glade to know you all. So, i am running WordPress as blog engine, and want to place six ad units (3 General Ads/Text + Images and 3 Link Units) on my blog's main page.

My question: is that effective? i mean, is it good to increasing my earning? Please give the good advice and input. Thanks you.

    Regards,
    J

You need to experiment. There isn't one fit all answer.

I think you need to look at their TOS, by putting 6 ads on one site you are breaking their rules and you will get your account banned.

I think the most you can have is 3 ad/image units and 1 link unit, but check to make sure first

I guess my information was a little out of date

Up to three ad units may be displayed on each page.
A maximum of two Google AdSense for search boxes may be placed on a page.
Up to three link units may also be placed on each page.
Up to three referral units may be displayed on a page, in addition to the ad units, search boxes, and link units specified above.
AdSense for search results pages may show only a single ad link unit in addition to the ads Google serves with the search results. No other ads may be displayed on your search results page.
No Google ad or Google search box may be displayed in a pop-up, pop-under, or in an email.
Elements on a page must not obscure any portion of the ads.
No Google ad may be placed on any non-content-based pages.
No Google ad may be placed on pages published specifically for the purpose of showing ads, whether or not the page content is relevant.

Having this many I think may reduce the worth of some clicks I think ? Kind of makes sense .... I was under the conclusion that the higher priced ad's would be shown over lower priced ad's/units ?

if your blog is new visitors could be turned off by seeing many ads , until you have lots of content it doesnt look good
but you can get 5%ctr by doing that by placing ads on all strategic location

You can get 5-9% CTR with 3 ad' units, it's just a matter of placement.

Sometimes less is more. It depends on you page size. You should never be able to see more than 3 ads on your screen. Design your page that way.
