Pixel Tracking and Diff. Between Sales and Commission??

I'm new to CJ and I can't seem to figure out where to configure pixel tracking so I can get notified on conversions.

Also, in my reports I see Commission amount $25.00 and Sales Amount $1.00, what is the difference?

Thank in advance for your help, I really need to get the pixel tracking in place to help with my analytics.

You cannot place your own pixels with CJ. You can contact the advertiser to see if they can do that, but odds are they cannot.

For the commissions/sales thing, that means that you were paid $25 commission, and the user that bought the product / filled out a lead paid $1 to the merchant (or that their reporting of sales amounts is wrong).

Thanks, so basically even though it's possible to profit on CJ, not being able pixel track severely affects the ability of analyzing your campaigns.

I'll look into other networks, thanks.

You can still use sub ID tracking. CJ has a whole different host of offers (and name brand offers) than CPA networks have.

As far as I know. CJ tracks impressions via images (in the case of banners or products) or ads a pixel to text links. All the info you need can be found at CJ. If you want to track your own stuff you can do it by adding your own pixel and your own code to detect upload requests..

There is no way to place your own pixel, or a third-party pixel, through CJ. I spoke to a VP at CJ during Affiliate Summit Boston, and she said that she wasn't aware of any plans to support that in the near future, though their new universal pixel may have support for it in the future (though this will probably be for internal CJ/ValueClick use for other product offerings to advertisers, without having to place additional pixes).
